Pictured above is the RX-78-2 Gundam, perhaps the most famous Mobile suit in the Universal Century. This suit was developed under the Earth Federation's top-secret "Project V" under the supervision of engineer Lieutenant Tem Ray on a Colony at Side 7. Of the three prototypes constructed only one unit survived a Zeon attack on the Colony. The remaining RX-78-2 was commandeered by Ray's young son Amuro who fended off the attack and was transferred to the assault carrier White Base. For the rest of the OYW Amuro Ray would serve on the White Base as the Gundam pilot becoming the greatest ace of 0079.
